Installers need batteries that fit the system, arrive as specified and don’t generate callbacks. LJY Energy’s LiFePO₄ batteries come in standard 12V, 24V and 48V-class configurations for solar and off-grid system designs; inverter compatibility is confirmed per project against the inverter model and BMS rating.
Compatibility is confirmed per inverter model and firmware, because the battery–inverter link depends on the protocol profile, cable pinout and BMS settings. LJY Energy does not publish a list of compatible inverters; step 3 of the installer path below shows what is checked and how to test a sample.

Installer path: from system design to inquiry
Storage jobs usually go wrong in one of three places: the battery does not communicate with the inverter, the format does not fit the site, or the destination market asks for documents nobody planned. The steps below follow the order in which installers decide, and each step links to the page that answers it.
- Choose the starting size. The entry capacity is 51.2V (48V class) 100Ah, 16S, which is 51.2V × 100Ah = 5,120Wh: 51.2V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery. Upsizes have their own pages: 200Ah (10,240Wh), 280Ah (14,336Wh) and the 314Ah floor-standing cabinet (16,076.8Wh). The 51.2V rack series page compares the ladder.
- Choose the format. Wall-mounted 100Ah, outdoor IP65-class wall-mounted, rack-mount, stackable home storage: all of these are low-voltage 51.2V (48V class) batteries for 48V-class inverters. High-voltage projects are a separate series, the high-voltage stackable module (modules in series, stacks of 204.8V and up), which needs an HV inverter and cannot be connected to a 48V-class inverter.
- Confirm the inverter link before you quote. Read the closed-loop inverter communication guide and run your numbers through the inverter battery compatibility calculator. If a large inverter trips the battery at connection, see our inverter pre-charge guide.
- Size the system. Use the solar battery sizing calculator; the configuration guide by application shows what is standard and what you can choose.
- Agree warranty and after-sales terms. The warranty terms guide lists the clauses to settle before the first order.
- Check the destination rules. See the import guides below, then send the inquiry.
51.2V (48V class) at a glance for installers
Model-defining values are arithmetic from voltage and capacity, not lab-measured results. Everything marked as confirmed per project is settled in the quotation for your format and inverter. Choosing between a 48V-class and a high-voltage system? See our high-voltage vs low-voltage storage guide.

What to confirm before you order
- Inverter brand, model and firmware version, and the lithium battery profile you will select on it.
- Inverter communication port type (RJ45 or terminal block; CAN or RS485).
- Number of batteries in parallel now, and whether the system will be expanded later.
- Installation type and climate: indoor wall, outdoor wall (IP65-class), rack or floor cabinet; minimum and maximum ambient temperature (decides whether self-heating is needed).
- Voltage class: low-voltage 51.2V in parallel, or a high-voltage stack (stack voltage comes from the module count, for example 4 modules = 204.8V, and is matched to the HV control box and the inverter voltage window per project).
- Destination country and the documents your customs broker will ask for.
- Logo, colour and label needs. Appearance, color and logo customizable per customer request.
Installer document pack & compatibility record
For each project we assemble a document pack for the exact battery model, BMS option and the inverter you name. Which documents exist for a given model, who issued them and which revision applies are confirmed in writing before you order — not assumed from a catalogue page. LJY Energy does not publish a fixed list of compatible inverter brands; fit is checked per inverter make, model and firmware.
| Document | What it covers | How it is handled |
|---|---|---|
| Datasheet (model and revision) | Nominal voltage / series count, capacity and energy, charge and discharge limits, BMS continuous and peak current for the quoted option, temperature window, dimensions, weight, IP rating, terminals and communication ports. | Issued for the configuration in your quotation. |
| SDS / MSDS and UN38.3 test summary | Chemistry, hazard and transport information; UN Manual 38.3.5 elements (lab, report number, model, Wh, pass/fail). A general “complies with UN38.3” line is not a test summary. | Coordinated per order for the shipped model. Ask for the report holder and model scope before you order. |
| BMS protocol / wiring / alarm list | Port type, CAN or RS485, baud, protocol profile name, pinout, parallel addressing, BMS firmware; DC cable and fuse guidance; BMS alarm codes and reset actions. | Written for the inverter model and firmware you name. Revised if BMS firmware changes between sample and production. |
| Compatibility record | Exact battery + inverter combination checked, settings used, and result (pass / pass with restrictions / fail). | Created per project. We do not claim a place on any inverter maker’s approved battery list unless that exact model is listed by the inverter maker. |
| Market certificates (e.g. IEC 62619, UL 1973, CE — as applicable) | Certificate or report number, issuing body, model scope and date for your AHJ or customs broker to verify. | Certification support is arranged per project; testing fees are borne by the buyer. Scope is confirm-at-inquiry, not assumed from this page. |
For the documents a permit or install usually needs, see our home battery permit pack guide.
What we need from you (ask at inquiry)
- Inverter brand, model and firmware version, and the battery profile you plan to select.
- Low-voltage 51.2V class (batteries in parallel) or high-voltage stack; pack count now and planned expansion.
- Format and site: indoor or outdoor, ambient temperature range.

Compatibility record template
One record per battery and inverter combination. If the inverter firmware, the BMS firmware or the cable changes, add a new row instead of editing the old one. Copy the table into your project file; we fill it in with you during the sample or first-installation check.
| Field | Example of what to write | Your entry |
|---|---|---|
| Record ID and date | CR-[project]-01, test date YYYY-MM-DD | |
| Battery model and revision | Model code from the quotation, hardware revision | |
| BMS firmware version | As read from the BMS software or label | |
| Inverter brand and model | Brand + full model string from the nameplate | |
| Inverter firmware version | Main / DSP / communication board versions, if shown | |
| Voltage class | LV 51.2V (48V class) or HV stack voltage | |
| Protocol and port | CAN or RS485, baud rate, protocol profile name, port on battery and inverter | |
| Cable and pinout | Pin assignment at each end, cable part number or drawing | |
| Inverter settings used | Battery type selected, charge voltage, charge and discharge current limits, low-SOC / cut-off settings | |
| Parallel configuration | Number of batteries, master/slave address method | |
| Checks performed | Communication established, SOC shown on inverter, charge and discharge under load, alarm passed to inverter | |
| Result | Pass / pass with restrictions / fail | |
| Known restrictions | For example “closed-loop only with profile X”, “max N batteries tested” | |
| Checked by | Name and company of the person who ran the check (installer, integrator or test lab) |
A record covers only the combination and versions written in it. A firmware update on either side can change battery support, so re-check after updates. Inverter makers publish their own battery lists with the model, protocol and setup code, for example Victron battery compatibility; those lists, not this record, decide whether a battery is approved by that inverter maker.
