51.2V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery with Bluetooth & Heating — Heated Rack Storage | LJY Energy

A finished 51.2V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery — 5,120Wh in the server-rack / wall-storage class — whose smart BMS does two things standard batteries cannot: it shows you every cell over Bluetooth, and it warms the cells automatically so charging can start below freezing.

The Cold Problem This Battery Solves

LiFePO4 cells must not be charged below 0 °C — charging a frozen cell damages it permanently. A standard BMS handles this the blunt way: it simply blocks charging until the weather warms up. For a 48V storage battery that is a serious failure mode, not a footnote: home and off-grid storage lives in garages, plant rooms and outbuildings — exactly the spaces that sit below freezing — and a 5.12kWh bank that refuses the winter morning’s solar charge leaves the house on whatever is left.

This battery takes the other route. Heating film is built into the pack, driven by the BMS. When a charger is connected and the cells are below the heating threshold, the BMS powers the heaters from the charger first, warms the cells into the safe charging window, and only then lets charging current flow — automatically, with the low-temperature charge cut-off still standing guard behind it. You see the whole sequence in the app: cell temperatures rising, heating on, then charging under way.

The second half of the design is visibility. The smart BMS (Jiabaida/JBD platform — the same board family we supply as standalone smart BMS boards) carries Bluetooth monitoring as standard: all sixteen individual cell voltages, pack voltage and current, state of charge, both temperature sensors, cycle count and protection events, readable on a phone at the battery — no shunt, no display panel, no guessing which of the sixteen cells is drifting.

Reference Standard Configuration — 51.2V 100Ah

Case Steel case, rack-format programme (case format confirmed per order) Dimensions confirmed per order against the case in your configuration
Terminals P+ / P− power terminals per the confirmed case format Terminal form confirmed per order

Read the Basis column the way our buyers do: the Bluetooth and heating functions define this series and are standard on every model in it; dimensions, terminal forms and board current class are confirmed in the order specification, because case formats and board options in this class genuinely vary by programme. Inverter communication protocols, where a project needs them, are specified in the order document — not assumed from this page. Final specifications are those in your order confirmation.

Every model in the table is the same product idea at a different voltage: Grade A prismatic cells, the JBD-platform smart BMS with Bluetooth, integrated heating, and the full protection set. The 51.2V model is the storage member of the family — the format used by rack and wall-mounted home-storage systems and by 48V vehicle programmes. Case format, terminal form, and OEM appearance (case colour, your logo and labels, rating plate, manual, packaging) are configuration options on all nine models.

What the Bluetooth Link Actually Tells You

  • Per-cell voltages, all sixteen — the earliest warning of imbalance; you see the drifting cell months before it becomes a capacity complaint
  • Live charge and discharge current, pack voltage, SOC — what a shunt monitor would tell you, without fitting one
  • Both temperature sensors and heating state — whether the pack is heating, at what temperature charging started, and what the coldest cell reads
  • Cycle count and protection events — the battery’s own service history, which is what warranty conversations and fleet maintenance actually run on
  • Protection parameters — thresholds readable in the app; adjustable items are set per your order specification

For installers and distributors, this is the support feature as much as a user feature: a customer reporting “the battery stopped charging” can read you the protection log and cell temperatures from their phone, and a cold morning with heating under way looks exactly like what it is — not like a fault.

How the Heating Cycle Runs

  1. Charger connects, cells are cold. The BMS reads the temperature sensors below the heating threshold and holds charging current off.
  2. Heating starts, powered by the charger. The heating film warms the cell block evenly; the app shows temperatures climbing. No energy is taken from the pack itself in the standard configuration.
  3. Charging begins inside the safe window. Once cells reach the set temperature, the BMS opens charging and the heaters cycle off; the low-temperature cut-off stays armed the whole time, so a heater fault never becomes a frozen charge.

Heating energy comes out of the charger’s output, not your stored capacity — on a solar morning the first minutes of weak winter sun go to warming, and the day’s charge follows. If your application needs the pack warmed with no charger present, tell us the duty cycle in the inquiry; that is a project configuration, quoted as such, not a silent assumption.

Where This Battery Earns Its Keep

  • Home and off-grid solar storage in cold spaces — garages, plant rooms and outbuildings that sit below freezing; see our off-grid energy storage page
  • Rack-format backup systems — telecom, network and light commercial backup on 48V buses; see our telecom backup batteries page
  • 48V vehicle programmes — golf carts and utility vehicles stored and charged in cold yards; see our golf cart battery page
  • Cold-region storage generally — anywhere the standard version of this battery spends winter refusing charge; the wider range is on Products

If your storage room is heated year-round, buy the standard battery instead and skip the heating hardware. If you build packs yourself, the same Bluetooth-and-heating board platform is available as a standalone smart BMS board, and the 51.2V 100Ah format is covered as a build in our DIY battery kits.

OEM / ODM: Your Brand, Your Specification

This series is supplied for distributors, installers and private-label programmes: case colour, logo and rating labels, manuals and packaging carry your brand; configuration covers BMS current class, case format and terminal form across the nine models. Our role is coordination — requirements are confirmed in a written specification, matched against manufacturing partners’ production, with the agreed checkpoints and export documents handled on our side. The specification in your order document is what binds the shipment. Start from our OEM & ODM coordination page or the OEM / ODM RFQ checklist.

What to Send Us for a Quotation

  • Model — 51.2V 100Ah, or another model from the series table
  • Your coldest charging condition — the lowest temperature at which the battery must accept charge; this confirms the heating configuration
  • Inverter model and whether CAN/RS485 communication is required — communication is specified per order, so name the inverter in the inquiry
  • Charger or solar controller you will pair it with — heating runs from the charger, so its output matters
  • Quantity and destination — samples for evaluation, or your expected regular volume, plus the destination port

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the heating also warm the battery for discharging?

It does not need to: LiFePO4 discharges safely well below 0 °C (with reduced capacity); it is charging that cold forbids. The heating system exists to bring cells into the safe charging window when a charger is connected. If your duty cycle needs warming with no charger present, raise it in the inquiry — that is a project configuration.

What happens if the heater fails on a frozen morning?

The same thing that happens with a standard battery: the BMS low-temperature cut-off keeps charging blocked and the cells stay safe. Heating is layered on top of the protection, never instead of it — a heater fault costs you a charge, never a cell.

Will it talk to my inverter?

Bluetooth monitoring is standard and independent of the inverter. Wired inverter communication (CAN / RS485 protocols) varies by inverter brand and is specified per order: name your inverter model in the inquiry and the quotation will state the communication configuration in writing, rather than this page promising a protocol it cannot bind.

Will Bluetooth drain the battery in storage?

The BMS standby draw, Bluetooth included, is small against a 100Ah pack, but it is not zero. For storage measured in months, charge the battery to its storage level and follow the storage instructions in the quotation documents.

Can several units be paralleled for a larger bank?

Parallel configurations are confirmed per project against the BMS class, case format and your system design — tell us the bank design in the inquiry and the quotation will state the supported configuration in writing.
