Product Overview

A 1.54kWh LiFePO4 battery (25.6V 60Ah) for single-battery 24V trolling motor setups — the popular middle size between lightweight 24V 50Ah packs and the 24V 100Ah trolling motor battery.

Marine dealers and private-label brands use it as the volume trolling SKU for bass boats and mid-size fishing boats. LJY Energy supports the BMS rating, Bluetooth, waterproofing and branding for your market.

BMS, Communication & Protection

Every pack uses a built-in battery management system with over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, short-circuit and temperature protection plus cell balancing. The BMS current rating sets what the battery can actually deliver, so it should be chosen from the load — not from the capacity. The guide below is general engineering guidance; the BMS rating offered for your order is confirmed in the quotation.

BMS sizing guide

Load / use case Suggested BMS rating
70 lb class 24V motors (~42A max draw) 60A BMS
80–82 lb class 24V motors (~56A max draw) 80A BMS
Heavy use, GPS anchoring all day, big boats Step up to 24V 100Ah

Use the motor’s published maximum current draw: the BMS continuous rating must be above it, or the battery will shut off at full thrust. Charging: use a 24V LiFePO4 profile (28.4–29.2V absorption, equalization off); lead-acid 24V chargers with desulfation modes are not suitable. See the charging guide.

Size & Fitment

Bow and console trays are commonly Group 27 or Group 31 class; tell us your tray size and hold-down type. Final dimensions, weight and terminal layout are confirmed per project in the datasheet issued with your quotation.

One 24V battery replaces two 12V batteries in series, saving weight and wiring.

Applications

  • 24V bow-mount and transom trolling motors
  • Bass boats and mid-size fishing boats
  • Kayak and jon-boat motor setups (24V); for 12V fish-finder and kayak electronics see the 12V 50Ah battery
  • Marine electronics house power (24V)

Application limits

  • Not for engine cranking.
  • Runtime at maximum thrust is limited (about 1 hour); plan capacity from real usage.
  • Standard version should not be charged below 0°C without low-temperature protection or heating.

OEM / ODM Options

  • Branding: case color, logo printing, labels, user manual and retail packaging.
  • Electrical: capacity variant, BMS continuous/peak current, charge limits.
  • Monitoring & communication: Bluetooth app, SOC display, RS485 / CAN where the system needs it.
  • Environment: low-temperature charge protection or self-heating.
  • Mechanical: enclosure size, terminals, handles, mounting and connector type.

How we help new battery brands configure this model

  • 1. Define the use case: application, largest load / inverter or controller, charging sources and climate.
  • 2. Pick the configuration: we map that to cell option, BMS rating, monitoring and enclosure, and flag trade-offs.
  • 3. Sample stage: evaluate samples against your own tests and documentation needs.
  • 4. Pilot order: confirm labeling, packaging and document package.
  • 5. Repeat supply: lock the specification so reorders stay consistent.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it replace a lead-acid battery directly?

Usually, after checking charger profile, terminal type/orientation and compartment dimensions. Some devices also have a low-voltage cut-off tuned for lead-acid. See our LiFePO4 vs lead-acid guide.

Are the specifications on this page fixed?

No. The exact cell option, BMS rating, dimensions and documents are confirmed in the datasheet issued with your quotation.

Can you supply it under my own brand?

Yes — case color, logo, labels, manual and packaging are standard OEM options; electrical and monitoring changes are handled as ODM configuration.

Is 60Ah enough for a full day of fishing?

For a 70 lb class motor at moderate speed, usually yes. Strong wind, current or constant GPS anchoring can use much more — then 24V 100Ah is the safer choice.

60A or 80A BMS?

Match the motor: about 42A max draw for 70 lb class motors fits 60A; 80–82 lb class motors (~56A max) need the 80A BMS.
