Product Overview

A 1.92kWh LiFePO4 battery (36V class, 38.4V nominal, 12S, 50Ah) for compact 36V systems: entry-level golf carts and neighborhood vehicles, 36V trolling motors, mobility and cleaning equipment, and light industrial carts.

It is a smaller capacity option under our 36V 100Ah golf cart battery and complements the application notes in our 36V trolling motor battery guide with a dedicated product page for the 50Ah SKU.

BMS, Communication & Protection

Every pack uses a built-in battery management system with over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, short-circuit and temperature protection plus cell balancing. The BMS current rating sets what the battery can actually deliver, so it should be chosen from the load — not from the capacity. The guide below is general engineering guidance; the BMS rating offered for your order is confirmed in the quotation.

BMS sizing guide

Load / use case Suggested BMS rating
Light 36V golf carts / mobility (moderate load) 50A BMS
36V trolling motors — match motor max draw 50–80A BMS
Lifted carts or high-current controllers Higher BMS or step up to 36V 100Ah

Match the BMS to the motor controller peak current, not only to the Ah rating. Tell us the cart/motor model and controller rating. Charging: use a 36V LiFePO4 profile (about 43.2–43.8V absorption for 12S). Confirm the charger profile before installation.

Size & Fitment

Golf cart and equipment trays vary widely. Send tray measurements (L×W×H) and terminal position. Final dimensions are confirmed per project in the quotation datasheet.

36V lead-acid carts often need a DC-DC converter for 12V accessories after conversion; it can be included in the kit.

Applications

  • 36V golf carts and neighborhood EVs (entry / short-range)
  • 36V trolling motors
  • Mobility and cleaning equipment
  • Light industrial and campus vehicles
  • Lead-acid to lithium conversion for 36V systems

Application limits

  • Confirm controller voltage window for 38.4V lithium.
  • Use a LiFePO4-profile charger.
  • Range depends on load, terrain and speed — we do not publish a guaranteed range.

OEM / ODM Options

  • Branding: case color, logo printing, labels, user manual and retail packaging.
  • Electrical: capacity variant, BMS continuous/peak current, charge limits.
  • Monitoring & communication: Bluetooth app, SOC display, RS485 / CAN where the system needs it.
  • Environment: low-temperature charge protection or self-heating.
  • Mechanical: enclosure size, terminals, handles, mounting and connector type.

How we help new battery brands configure this model

  • 1. Define the use case: application, largest load / inverter or controller, charging sources and climate.
  • 2. Pick the configuration: we map that to cell option, BMS rating, monitoring and enclosure, and flag trade-offs.
  • 3. Sample stage: evaluate samples against your own tests and documentation needs.
  • 4. Pilot order: confirm labeling, packaging and document package.
  • 5. Repeat supply: lock the specification so reorders stay consistent.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it replace a lead-acid battery directly?

Usually, after checking charger profile, terminal type/orientation and compartment dimensions. See our LiFePO4 vs lead-acid guide.

Are the specifications on this page fixed?

No. Values marked [Confirmed per project] are fixed only in the datasheet issued with your quotation.

Can you supply it under my own brand?

Yes — case color, logo, labels, manual and packaging are standard OEM options; electrical and monitoring changes are handled as ODM configuration.

Is a 36V LiFePO4 battery really 38.4V?

Yes. A 12-cell LiFePO4 pack has a 38.4V nominal voltage and is the standard lithium replacement for 36V lead-acid systems.

50Ah or 100Ah for a golf cart?

50Ah suits light use and short courses; most dealers stock 100Ah as the mainstream 36V cart SKU. Confirm daily range needs before ordering.
