51.2V 280Ah Wall-Mounted LiFePO4 Battery – 14.34kWh Home Energy Storage

51.2V 280Ah wall-mounted LiFePO4 home energy storage battery

A 51.2V 280Ah wall-mounted LiFePO4 battery pack with 14.34kWh of usable energy storage, built for residential solar systems and home backup power that need more capacity than a standard 10kWh unit. With RS485/CAN inverter communication and parallel expansion, it pairs with our 51.2V 200Ah wall-mounted battery and 51.2V 100Ah wall-mounted battery for modular home energy storage from 5kWh to 200kWh+.

Designed for distributors, installers, and project developers serving households with high evening loads — air conditioning, electric cooking, EV charging — this 14.34kWh unit covers a full night of consumption in a single wall-mount enclosure, reducing the number of parallel units needed for larger residential systems.

  • 14.34kWh capacity — a full night of backup for high-consumption households
  • RS485/CAN communication — works with mainstream hybrid inverters
  • Wall-mounted design — saves floor space in garages and utility rooms
  • Parallel-ready — expand as needs grow

Product Overview

51.2V 280Ah wall-mounted LiFePO4 home energy storage battery
51.2V 280Ah wall-mounted LiFePO4 battery — product reference image. Actual enclosure and layout may vary by configuration.

The 51.2V 280Ah wall-mounted battery stores 14.34kWh of energy in a compact enclosure that mounts directly on the wall — no floor footprint, no rack cabinet required. It targets residential solar-plus-storage projects where 10kWh is not enough to carry the home through the night, but installers want to avoid paralleling multiple smaller units.

For installers, the key advantage is standardization: the same wall-mount form factor as our 51.2V 100Ah and 51.2V 200Ah units, the same RS485/CAN communication interface, and the same parallel architecture. Crews learn one installation procedure and can deploy 5kWh, 10kWh, or 14kWh modules with the same hardware and wiring practice.

  • 14.34kWh usable energy — 51.2V nominal × 280Ah capacity
  • Inverter communication — RS485 and CAN protocols for SOC reporting and charge control
  • Wall-mount bracket included — designed for garage and utility-room installation
  • Modular expansion — parallel multiple units for larger residential or light-commercial systems

Compatibility & Applications

Inverter compatibility

The built-in BMS communicates over RS485 and CAN, supporting closed-loop operation with mainstream hybrid inverters. Confirmed protocol families include Growatt, Deye, Victron, SMA, and GoodWe. Because inverter firmware varies by model and region, we recommend confirming your exact inverter model with us before ordering — we pre-configure communication settings on request.

Typical applications

  • High-consumption residential solar — homes with air conditioning, electric cooking, or EV charging that exceed 10kWh nightly use
  • Home backup power — carry essential and comfort loads through extended outages
  • Time-of-use arbitrage — charge off-peak, discharge during peak-rate hours with more capacity per cycle
  • Off-grid homes — core storage block for larger off-grid residences, expandable in parallel
  • Light-commercial backup — small offices, shops, and clinics via multi-unit parallel

Charging & Compatibility

How to charge

  • Use a LiFePO4-compatible charger or hybrid inverter with a 58.4V charge profile
  • Recommended charge current: 0.2C–0.5C (56–140A); maximum per BMS rating
  • Closed-loop communication lets the inverter manage charge voltage and current automatically
  • For parallel systems, charge all units to the same voltage before connecting

When expanding an existing system, add units of the same model and similar state of health. Mixing substantially different ages or capacities in parallel is not recommended — contact us for expansion planning.

Lifespan & Safety

  • Long cycle life — LiFePO4 chemistry rated at 6000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge under reference conditions
  • Multi-layer BMS protection — guards against over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit, and temperature extremes
  • Stable chemistry — LiFePO4 offers strong thermal stability compared with other lithium chemistries
  • Indoor installation — mount in ventilated indoor locations away from direct heat sources

Cycle-life figures are reference values under controlled conditions; actual lifespan depends on operating temperature, charge rates, and depth of discharge in the field. We do not fabricate test results — performance expectations are discussed against your specific use case during quotation.

Wholesale, OEM & ODM

  • Wholesale supply — volume pricing for distributors, installers, and project developers
  • Capacity options — 100Ah / 200Ah / 280Ah wall-mount variants from the same product family
  • BMS customization — current ratings, communication protocols, Bluetooth, and heating options

Frequently Asked Questions

Which inverters are compatible with this battery?

The BMS supports RS485 and CAN communication used by Growatt, Deye, Victron, SMA, GoodWe, and other mainstream hybrid inverters. Confirm your exact inverter model with us so we can pre-configure the correct protocol before shipment.

How is the 280Ah different from the 200Ah wall-mounted battery?

Same 51.2V platform, same communication interface, and same wall-mount installation — but 14.34kWh instead of 10.24kWh per unit. Choose the 280Ah when a single 10kWh unit cannot cover overnight consumption and you prefer fewer parallel units.

Can I expand the system later?

Yes. Multiple units can be paralleled for larger total storage. Add units of the same model; for best results, expand within a reasonable timeframe so all units age similarly.

Is installation complicated?

A wall-mount bracket is included. Mounting is straightforward, but all DC electrical connections should be performed by a certified installer in compliance with local regulations. Note the unit is heavier than smaller wall-mount models — plan mounting hardware accordingly.

Does it work in cold climates?

Discharge operates down to -20°C. Charging below 0°C requires the optional low-temperature self-heating function — specify this when requesting a quote for cold-region projects.

What is the warranty?

Warranty terms depend on order volume, application, and operating conditions, and are confirmed in the formal quotation. Contact us with your project details for warranty terms.
