48V 100Ah LiFePO4 Golf Cart Battery – Lead-Acid Replacement

48V 100Ah LiFePO4 golf cart lithium battery

48V 100Ah lithium iron phosphate battery for golf carts and low-speed electric vehicles. Drop-in replacement for lead-acid battery packs.

Product Overview

The 48V 100Ah LiFePO4 golf cart battery delivers 5.12kWh of deep-cycle energy in a single unit designed to replace six 8V or four 12V lead-acid batteries. It fits standard golf cart battery compartments and works with common cart controllers, making it a practical upgrade for dealers and fleet operators moving from lead-acid to lithium.

For buyers evaluating lithium for golf carts, this model covers the most common 48V replacement scenario. See also our golf cart battery solutions page for selection guidance, and the 12V 100Ah deep cycle battery for 12V system builds.

  • 5.12kWh usable energy — typical driving range 40–60 km per charge depending on cart weight and terrain
  • 150A continuous BMS, 300A peak (10s) — handles hill climbs and acceleration without cut-off
  • 70% lighter than lead-acid — reduces cart weight, extends range, easier handling
  • Zero maintenance — no watering, no acid spills, no terminal corrosion

Charging & Compatibility

How to charge

  • Use a dedicated 58.4V LiFePO4 charger — lead-acid chargers use the wrong charge profile and will not fully charge the battery
  • Recommended charge current 15–25A for a balance of speed and cell longevity
  • Onboard or external charger options available; matched chargers can be bundled with the battery

If you are converting a fleet from lead-acid, plan charger replacement together with the batteries. We can supply matched 58.4V chargers and advise on charge infrastructure for multi-cart operations.

Lifespan & Safety

  • 4000+ deep cycles at 80% DOD — roughly 8–10x the cycle life of lead-acid golf cart batteries under comparable use
  • Built-in BMS protection — guards against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short-circuit, and temperature extremes
  • LiFePO4 chemistry — thermally stable cathode material widely used in traction and storage applications
  • No acid, no fumes — safer handling and storage than flooded lead-acid; no watering or equalization needed

Cycle life figures are reference values based on cell specifications at stated depth of discharge. Actual service life depends on discharge rates, ambient temperature, and charge practices. We do not fabricate test reports or certification claims.

Wholesale, OEM & ODM

  • Voltage options: 36V, 48V, and 72V configurations for different cart platforms
  • Capacity range: 60Ah–200Ah options within each voltage to match range requirements
  • BMS customization: discharge current rating, Bluetooth monitoring, low-temperature protection logic
  • Mechanical customization: case dimensions, terminal position, handles, and mounting to fit your tray
  • Fleet and dealer programs: volume pricing, matched chargers, and coordinated delivery schedules

We are not limited to the SKUs listed on this site. LJY Energy can configure batteries around your application — tell us your cart model, range target, and volume, and we will propose a configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this battery fit my golf cart?

It is designed for standard 48V golf cart battery trays, including Club Car, EZ-GO, and Yamaha 48V models. Send us your cart model and tray dimensions and we will confirm fitment before you order.

Do I need a new charger?

Yes. A LiFePO4-specific 58.4V charger is required — lead-acid chargers will not fully charge the battery and may shorten its life. We can bundle a matched charger with your order.

How far can I drive on one charge?

Typical range is 40–60 km per charge depending on cart weight, passenger load, terrain, and driving style. Hilly courses and heavy loads reduce range; tell us your use case and we can recommend the right capacity.

Can I connect multiple batteries?

For most golf carts a single 48V 100Ah unit is sufficient. If you need extended range, parallel configurations are possible — contact us to discuss BMS and wiring requirements for your setup.

How long does the battery last?

Reference cycle life is 4000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge, which for typical golf cart use translates to many years of service — roughly 8–10x longer than lead-acid equivalents. Actual life depends on usage patterns.

Do you support fleet and dealer orders?

Yes. We offer volume pricing, 36V/48V/72V configurations, matched chargers, and coordinated delivery for fleets, dealers, and distributors. Contact us with your volume and timeline.
